ASP WCT Returns to Jeffreys Bay

Good news for South Africa surfing as the ASP announces the reinstatement of Jeffreys Bay to the Samsung Galaxy World Championship Tour, WCT line-up for 2014. July 10th to July 20th will see J-Bay serve a the 6th stop of the 11 stop season. To add to the good news, this is a signed 3 year contact to host the world’s leading surfers from 2014 to 2016.

Jeffreys Bay returns to the World Surfing Championship Tour
The local City Council, Surfing South African and JBU Surf Club are in support of the J-Bay Open. It will also be the main draw card to the J-Bay WinterFest which takes place at the same time.

Jeffreys Bay has one of the best right-hand point-breaks in the world and was an elite WCT venue from 1966 to 2011. J-Bay will be replacing Bali on the 2014 schedule.

October 12 to 23: Rip Curl Pro, Portugal
December 8 to 20: Billabong Pipeline Masters
