Allan Adams Joins the Adidas Skateboarding Team

Allan Adams is the latest member to join the adidas skateboarding team, influenced by older his brother and one of SA’s legendary skateboarders, Moses Adams, Allan has been submerged in the life of skate culture from a young age.

Allan’s mindset and style was the perfect addition to the team and he has proven his ability to showcase his unique skill-set on the street, something many skaters are yet to master.

The skateboarding sub-category was launched in South Africa in 2012 by the adidas Originals’s Action Sports team. As part of celebrating, they organised trips for the team members enabling them to explore unique skating spots and document their work.

Over the years the team have been actively supporting the journey of local skaters by building a pro team, consisting of; Yann Horowitz, Dlamini Dlamini, Khlulu Dlamini, Pieter Retief and Allan Adams. Each have paved their path in the skateboarding scene and been active in making their mark on the local and international scene.

The most recent trip saw the adidas skateboarding team visit Johannesburg. The city offers unique experiences and setting with the highlight being skating Wits University. The team expressed excitement toward Allan’s skating where he killed the stairs section.
