Battery Park in the famous V&A Waterfront in Cape Town played host to the 2024 Converse Ult.X over the weekend. The event saw the world’s top BMX Freestyle riders and South Africa’s best Skateboarders battling it out for top honours.
12 riders qualified through to the BMX Finals making for an exciting and closely fought three heats of four riders in each. France’s Anthony Jeanjean successfully defended his title by taking the win, ahead of Mexico’s Kevin Peraza in 2nd and Australia’s Boyd Hilder in 3rd.

USA’s Jeremy Mallot took home the Pat Casey Best Trick award for his 180 Triple Tailwhip.
In the Skateboarding Finals it was an all Cape Town affair with Moses Adams edging out the rest of the field to be crowned 2024 champion. Tyresse Adams finished in 2nd with Ethan Cairns rounding out the podium in 3rd.
