The third stop of the 2022 Crankworx Slopestyle MTB World Tour took place in Cairns, Australia, and saw Nicholi Rogatkin return to the top step of the podium by taking a convincing win.
The Cairns slopestyle course had 10 features with 13 opportunities for tricks including a flat deck, on/off switch, dirt pipe and final money booter trick jump. Coming into the event, Emil Johansson was on an incredible eight Crankworx contest winning streak but unfortunately crashed out on the final feature in his first run.

It was left to the rest of the 14-man field to thrill the fans on the red dirt in thick humidity with Erik Fedko scoring a superb first run of 92.75 seeing him go clear of Rogatkin’s first run score of 90 and Tom Isted’s 85.50. Max Fredriksson banked a 88.75 to push Isted down to 4th and Rogatkin came back with a brilliant second run of 94.75 to push Fedko down to 2nd and ultimately take the win.
