The sixth, and penultimate, round of the 2021 South African National Motocross Championship took place over the weekend in Bloemfontein. An incredible year of racing will see all eight classes’ championships decided at the final round in November.

Tristan Purdon was again dominant over the field talking the double win. Cameron Durow and David Goosen shared out second and thirds with Goosen securing 2nd for the day and Durow 3rd. Anthony Raynard ended in 4th for the day ahead of Johan Vogelesang.

Jonathan Mlimi did no harm to his title hopes by posting another double win to extend his title advantage. Title rival Ethan Hoffman went 4-2 to finish in 2nd place ahead of Barend du Toit and Miguel de Waal.

Another closely contested battle between title contenders Kayla Raaff and Leah Heygate. Raaff would come away with the double win and Heygate a double 2nd place finish. Jadene de Lima rouned off the podium in 3rd.

Emmanuel Bako
One of the closest title chase in this year’s championship and its even closer now. Emmanuel Bako put himself back into title contention by going 1-1 for the overall. Neil van der Vyver went 2-4 for 2nd overall with Ryan Adler going 5-2 for 3rd. Trey Cox, who provisionally leads that title chase, finished in 4h.
