The final two rounds of the 2020 South African National Motocross Championship took place as another double-header in Bloemfontein over the weekend producing thrilling racing action and nine new season champions.
In the MX1 Class it was Tristan Purdon who took three moto wins and a 3rd to clinch the 2020 title. An on-form Anthony Raynard took 2nd in all four heats, while David Goosen did enough to hold onto 2nd overall in the championship. A tough weekend for Maddy Malan but a win in the final heat saw him clinch 3rd for the season.

Anthony Raynard was dominant in the MX2 Class as he marched to four wins and ultimately claimed the 2020 championship. David Goosen would finish off a tough weekend of racing and held onto 3rd in the championship, while another strong performance by Slade Smith saw him secure 2nd.

A clean sweep by Ian Topliss in the MX3 Class saw him tie up the championship overall, beating both Brett Bircher and Alec Combrink on the weekend.

Kayla Raaff remained unbeaten in the Ladies Class this year storming to another SA title. Jadene de Lima scored 2nd in all four motos to draw level with Natasha Rugani in the title chase and claim the 2nd overall with Rugani settling for 3rd.

Jonathan Mlimi secured his SA title by winning the final eight races of the 125 High School Class. Christian Celliers and Miguel de Waal shared out most of the 2nd and 3rd place finishes over the weekend with Celliers taking the 2nd in the championship just 2 points.

It was a close battle in the 85cc Pro Mini Class with Wian du Plooy posting two 2nd place finishes and couple of race wins, but it wasn’t enough to secure the championship title as it went to Saturday’s race 2 winner, Bryce Petersen.
Liam Botha took three wins and a 2nd to clinch a dominant SA title in the 85cc Junior Class. Pieter Brink finished in 2nd for the season, and Ryan Adler in 3rd.

Neil van der Vyver dominated the 65cc Class throughout the season to take a well deserved 2020 Championship win. His closest title rivals, Jordan van Wyk and Trey Cox, swapped the 2nd and 3rd place finishes over the weekend.

In the 50cc Class, Trenton Kretzman took all four wins over Brody Bircher, taking the championship from Bircher and Chase Bekker.
