As June fast approaches, so does the excitement and anticipation of the inaugural Polokwane SupaDrift Series event. Round 2 of the 2018 series takes place at the Polokwane Short Circuit Raceway on 1st and 2nd June. Roaring engines, smoking tyres and the smell of ethanol will certainly permeate the Polokwane airwaves as South Africa’s top drifting drivers arrive to do battle and scar the tar!
Angle, Speed, Line and Style are the criteria for which SupaDrift Judges adjudicate individual drift runs and score accordingly; drifters are then ceded and afterwards get the opportunity to battle against rival drifters in a tandem event. Competitors have to match the lead car and blueprint their run in close approximaty to the max to gain top points and win the battle. A ladder system and knock out competition funnels top competitors to the final.
