Stop 2 of the 2018 Crankworx Slopestyle World Tour took place in Innsbruck, Austria over the weekend. The world’s top Freestyle MTB riders gathered to compete on the 290m course, that started with a flat drop and a dirt-to-dirt double, followed by a cannon log, two hip jumps, a fruit bowl and finally a large wood-to-dirt jump.
Brett Rheeder, who won the opening Crankworx event in Rotorua, pulled off a world first Backflip Tailwhip off the starting ramp to take the lead after the first run.
Nicholi Rogatkin bounced back with an insane second run, executing his trademark Twister early on then landed a Triple Tailwhip with Cork 720 and Front Flip Tailwhip to post a huge score of 93 and edge out Rheeder for the win.
Diego Caverzasi also put down an impressive second run and claimed 3rd place overall.
