2016 Fox FLEXAIR Gear-Set Review

A few weeks ago we brought you an exclusive interview with 2015 AMA Supercross and Motocross champion, Ryan Dungey about the new Fox FLEXAIR gear-set.
Finally we got our hands on a set of our own to put to the test, and we were completely blown away.

Unpacking the kit, we were taken back by the awesome design and colour-way (Libra Yellow), but, what really caught our attention was the just how light both the pants and jersey are. We’re not talking, “it’s pretty light compared to other motocross kits”, it is unbelievably light! So much so, that it puts doubt into your mind if it will hold up with the wear-and-tear of motocross. After putting it through its paces we realise that it’s definitely built to last.

Fox stands behind the FLEXAIR as the lightest pants and jersey gear-set they have ever made, and we agree. They even went as far as eliminating stitching and replacing it with a sew-free cuff and hem design. We also have to emphasise just how comfortable it is to ride in the FLEXAIR. Developed directly with Ryan Dungey, the input of a racer/ rider is key.

FLEXAIR Jersey features:

The jersey stretches with the rider’s body movement.
The TruDri fabric of the jersey is softer and super comfortable against the skin.
The fabric also keeps the riders body temperature balanced during race conditions.
With enhanced airflow, this is perfect kit for those hot South African days.

FLEXAIR Pants Features:

The pants provide unrestricted freedom of movement, 4-way stretch.
Plenty of space for knee guards or braces with the active stretch knee panel.
The TruMotion fabric used in the pants has the highest abrasion durability test rating of any stretch pant in motocross.
Targeted ventilation to keep the rider cool.
