The east swell continued to pour through at The Lower Point in Jeffreys Bay, and there were no breaks throughout the day for the very lucky surfers taking part in the Billabong SA Junior Champs. There were some great scores, and excellent surfing on day 3 of this national event.
Kai Woolf from JBay was one of the standouts again on the girl’s side, with a number of great waves on her backhand with the afternoon high tide push. She looked strong and confident, and all set for a big result at the event in her hometown.
Angelo Faulkner was the stand out of the day, banking a 10-point ride as well as a 8.5 in his heat and showing his local knowledge as well. Angelo has been looking good all event, surfing with speed and flow, and giving extra effort whenever he could. The local contingent has been doing well throughout, with Angelo, Joshe Faulkner and Rewaldo Abersalie all killing it and advancing through to the last two days of the event.
Great waves are forecast for the next few days and it’s set to be a great last two days. All individual titles and team titles will be presented on Sunday, on the beach at Lower Point in JBay.
