The final event of the 2015 Billabong Junior Series presented by BOS took place at Seal Point in Cape St Francis over the weekend. Closely contested surfing made for a nail-biting final.
Dylan Lightfoot overtook Adin Masencamp in the last wave of the heat to take the U20 Pro Junior Men’s division win. This was one of the closest heats in Billabong Junior surfing history with Lightfoot taking the win by just .05 of a point.
Nicole Pallet took the overall in the U20 Pro Junior Women’s division beating Sophie Bell in the final. Both surfers had been the two stand-out throughout the contest do it was no surprise that they faced off in the final. Bell placed 2nd in the U20 but did win the U16 Girls division.
James Ribbink dominated the U12 Boys Division winning the event and taking the series win. Gabi Lailvaux won the U14 Girls division as well as the series title.
