We reckon this is an upcoming band to watch. Woodstock Mafia debuted their first music video “Electric Light” this week. It had a mere budget of R12 000, but you totally wouldn’t say so. The video, directed by Ric Shields is pretty impressive and we’re liking the band’s sound (best described as “hybrid-grunge rock”)

Check out the new music video from the gorgeous Louise Carver's latest album (out July 2012) which she'll be promoting in June with a tour. Louise stripped down in the name of art for the video which debuted last week as did her new sound - we think this is a lot different (and darker) from her previous work. Nice!

As promised last week, here is our interview with rock-a-billy sensation, Peachy Keen. The band chats to us about their EP, Backseat Bingo amongst other things (like Sailor Jerry rum, tattoos and pin up girls). Peachy Keen will be launching their EP this Friday, 11th of May at Mercury Live – so if you’re in Cape Town we recommend it – it sounds like it’s gonna be a fat jol! Entrance is only R40.00 (or R100.00 with a copy of Backseat Bingo) and doors open at 9pm.
