Red Bull X-Fighters Pretoria Qualifying Results

Red Bull X-Fighters Pretoria is here and qualifying is in the books. Today, 11 September, saw the world’s best Freestyle Motocross riders take to the notorious red dirt track placed in front of the Union Buildings in Pretoria for the qualifying rounds. South Africa, you are in for a treat at tomorrow’s finals.

1st – Tom Pages – 89.80
Pages came out firing landing all his big tricks including the Bikeflip, Ally-Oop Flair, Special Flip, 360 and a transfer Flip to put into first place.

2nd – Rob Adelberg – 85.90
The Australian scored better points in his second run also stomping his big tricks with huge extension to claim the second spot.

3rd – Taka Higashino – 85.70
Higashino impressed today with his Flair off the quarter pipe, Backflip Rock Solid and signature California Roll, hot on the heels of Adelberg.

4th – Josh Sheehan – 85.00
Sheehan didn’t have the best first run but came back in the second with the Double Backflip and Flair Indy. A mistake on his Lazyboy Backflip hindered his points putting him into fourth place.

5th – David Rinaldo – 84.40
Rinaldo crashed in practice but put in a solid run for fifth spot.

6th – Maikel Melero – 84.00
Back from injury, a solid run by the Spaniard scored him sixth place.

7th – Clinton Moore – 83.60
Is the pressure getting to Moore? He scored the final transfer position in seventh place. After two mistakes in his first run, Moore looked to score higher in his second run but over-rotating the Flair and crashed into one of the take-off ramps.

8th – Remi Bizouard – 83.30
Just missing the final transfer position but rode solid landing a massive Tsunami Backflip, the Egg Roll and the Volt. Remi will battle it out for the final spot into the head-to-head rounds.

9th – Adam Jones – 82.70
Jones avoided the quarter pipe and body varials and focused on big extensions and technical well executed tricks. Jones will battle it out for the final spot into the head-to-head rounds.

10th – Javier Villegas – 81.70
Villegas stuck to his bag of tricks including the Indy Seatgrab Backflip, Tsunami Backflip and a massive Underflip. Villegas will battle it out for the final spot into the head-to-head rounds.

11th – Dany Torres – 80.40
Dany Torres had a good first run including very many backflip combos, but crashed on his last jump. He tweaked his knee a bit, but gave the thumbs up to be able to start in the main competition. Torres will battle it out for the final spot into the head-to-head rounds.

12th – Alastair Sayer – 76.50
The local hero Sayer showed a lot of heart, technical combos as the Onehand Takeoff Backflip and massive trick combos, but suffered with small crashes in both runs. Sayer will battle it out for the final spot into the head-to-head rounds.
