Quiksliver Get Free Series Port Alfred Results

Over 70 of the country’s best surfers gathered to compete in the final event of the 2015 Quiksilver Get Free Surf Series. 3-4 feet swell brought excellent surfing conditions to Port Alfred in the Eastern Cape.

Beyrick De Vries was on top form and took a convincing win in the premier Open Mens division scoring a perfect 10 point ride score with his awesome double-barrel tube ride. Greg Emslie, one of the event favourites, finished in 2nd place while Michael February came up short to grab a 3rd place finish. Josh Smit impressed in the semi finals but count put it together in the final and took home 4th place.

Adin Masencamp put together two great rides to take the win in the U20 Boys division over Shane Sykes, who put in a massive score but failed to back it up with another decent scoring ride. Tristan Lev placed in 3rd with Jason Harris in 4th.

In the U16 Boys division it was Sebastian Williams who claimed victory over U20 winner Adin Masencamp, who surfed back to back finals. Joshe Faulkner’s consistency scored him 3rd place while Luke Malherbe finished in 4th.
