You’re SA’s biggest hard rock act – at your first gig could you have imagined you’d be where you are today?
Not at all. It’s too long ago to even remember what I was thinking.
What have been some of the biggest changes you’ve noticed in the industry and on the scene since your first show back in 2005?
A growing support for local rock music – from music fans and event organisers. Much more festivals/events and much more people attending them.
How important is it for you guys to do it your own way?
Extremely.
On a scale of 1 to 10 – how rock and roll would you say your lives really are?
9.
What’s been your biggest rock and roll moment as a band?
Opening for Rage Against The Machine in 2011, after ingesting too much peyote.
Where’s the most underrated place to gig and why?
Tough one. I would say Grahamstown.
The best festival to both perform and party at in SA?
Up The Creek. Without a doubt.
Tell us a little about the making of the music video for ‘Unholy’ and how the concept came about? Was Tanit on set with you guys and if so how distracting was it?
No, she was filmed in a separate room on a separate night. The initial idea was to film her dancing in some sexy lingerie. But then Jason (director) got a little more than he bargained for. I guess she really got into the music and the vibe. And you won’t stop filming that, just because it’s no longer going as planned… would you?
Three albums people should definitely be listening to at the moment.

Where to from here for the band? What are some of your plans for the rest of the year?
Really looking forward to Oppikoppi and the rest of the SA festival season. We’ve started recording a new album – half is done already. Hopefully we can release something banging early next year.
