KDC is back with the Skateboarding for Hope tournament taking place at the country’s premier skate plaza, the Kumba Skate Park, on Saturday 27 March. The contest is a welcome return to competition skating for the skaters of the Northern Cape Province to show off their talent.

Catch the live webcast Finals from 5pm on Saturday 20 March HERE.
Having grown their skills through the KDC development programs in the province, they now get to start off the year with the Skateboarding for Hope program, while being mentored and judged by the legends of the sport.
Some of South Africa’s top skateboarders will be there in support, on the Mic and Judging, as the best young talent from the Northern Cape compete for an overall prize purse of R100 000.

In a world that has been brought to its knees, Skateboarding for Hope wants to celebrate the hope for tomorrow that still lives within us. It is this spirit that the province brings this free event to the most rural parts of the province on its newly built WIFI networks and then to the wider world on a variety of media platforms.
Skateboarding for Hope will bring a new broadcast format too, with content going directly to its communities on a variety of platforms and formats. Introducing a new way of doing skateboarding, virtually, evolving a new normal for sport and sports broadcasting.
