Greg Minnaar stamped authority into his ranking of the greatest Downhill MTB racer of all time by winning the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in Fort William, Scotland this weekend. The result secures Minnaar’s 7th win at the famous track and his 20th World Cup Win.

The South African posted a perfect weekend by qualifying in 1st place and winning the final with a time of 4:40.344, 2.979 seconds ahead of 2nd place finisher, Jack Moir (4:43.323). Aaron Gwin rounded off the podium with a time of 4:44.143. This result sees Minnaar leading the 2017 World Cup campaign as the series head to Leogang, Austria on the 11th June.

In the Women’s finals it was Tracey Hannah who took the win ahead of Myriam Nicole in 2nd place and Emilie Siegenthaler in 3rd. Rachel Atherton crashed during practice, dislocating her shoulder and forcing her out of race.
