DarkFEST 2018 Week 4 Build Update

DarkFEST 2018 has shifted gear this week with most of the riders having arrived and being introduced to the insane creations that have grown to maturity over the past three weeks. More riders means more excitement and some big tricks have already gone down.

DarkFEST 2018 week 4 build update is live and the course is ready.

At first sight jaws hit the floor as the big hit is sitting at around 100ft now and is seriously intimidating. Some riders were feeling the jet lag and took a while to adjust, but after watching Sam Reynolds, Nico Vink and Clemens hit it, the lag and fear was quickly pushed aside. They followed the boys in to get a feel of the speed and after a few attempts they were all making it through the course and adding more tricks with each run.

The wind has been really unpredictable and changes direction constantly. It can also drop or pick up in a matter of minutes. Riders sometimes get to the top and are almost be blown away, thinking there’s no chance of riding, to having it be perfectly still with perfect conditions just moments later.

With more riders on course some sections are getting seriously hard packed, and some others are blowing out. A few minor patch up’s were needed on Tuesday afternoon and all is fresh and ready to go.
