#CrankChaos Maluti Mountain Bike Festival

A Crankworx styles event in Southern Africa? Indeed. Get amped for the new Mountain Biking event launched by Afriski Mountain Resort in Lesotho called #CrankChaos. The Maluti Mountain Bike Festival is taking place form 27 – 30 October, and at 3 222m above sea level making it the highest festival on its kind in Africa.

Bringing together some of the biggest brands in the MTB industry, event goers will will be able to interact with the latest equipment and test it out for themselves. Rated the best Downhill Mountain Biker of all time, Greg Minnaar has taken a personal interest in the event and will also be on hand to share his experiences. Minnaar stated “festivals like this happen all the time around the world and it’s about time we had one of our own, I can’t wait to be there in October”.

Riders will have the option of hooking onto the Mountain Bike Uplift, gaining over 200m in vertical accent in under 7 minutes. From the top they will have the option from a variety of tracks to get down the mountain.
The festival offers a variety of event options including Enduro MTB, Downhill MTB, Slopestyle, Marathon, Cross-Country and the casual out rides.

With all this and live entertainment in the evenings, this is a weekend not to be missed. Limited to 200 guaranteed spots.
There are various packages to choose from and all include 3 days accommodation, meals from Dinner on Thursday to Breakfast on Sunday, trail fees, event entry and a goodie bag.
