Converse Africa and influencers will be bringing the ConsProject to life in Johannesburg. What is ConsProject you ask? It’s the transformation of untapped space, by influencers, into the ultimate venue that will see Music, Skate, Street and Art collide.
The Insight:
Creativity is flourishing in Braamfontein. But because it is still considered to be in its development phase even creative actives need a little direction in unearthing the gems of the city. Many of the gems are hidden behind bolted doors and camouflaged in rubble and dust.
The Need/ Opportunity:
Even though Braamfontein is starting to reveal itself at the creative capital. Still the creatives have been dictated to the places and space that are trendy. Now Converse is giving the key to people and allowing them to unleash their skills and with likeminded individuals – without rules or regulation
The Idea:
Unlocking a long abandoned old store, with various levels that echo the various pillar of cons – all interlocking, engaging and interactive as well as relevant to the next. Converse will simply set the scene but the creatives will write the script.
From the 29th May until the 1st June 2014, Converse Africa will be opening the doors to this amazing space – Cnr Melle and Jorissen Street, Braamfontein – for you to experience it for yourself.
What’s going down?
Thursday: Graffiti Workshop, 1 – 4pm.
Friday: Beat Boxing and mixing Workshop, 1 – 4pm. Rap battles.
Saturday: Skate Workshop and Mary Jane Party.
Sunday: Closing Party.
