We had the privilege of chatting to Aaron last week while he was in Stockholm on the Nitro Circus tour. He is one awesome dude and is super amped to get to SA in 2014. See what he had to say about Nitro Circus and the South African tour.

What are your thoughts on Nitro Circus coming to SA?
I’m super pumped. I just found out and so I’m excited that the tour is growing globally.

Anything specific that you’d like to experience while you are here?
I don’t really know what to expect, I don’t know much about SA but I’m excited and as long as I land my jumps, I’ll be happy.

What can SA fans expect from the Nitro Circus show?
Expect to have your minds blown [laughs]. You will see 2 hours of the crazies X-Games tricks, actually bigger tricks than you would see at X. Everyone risks everything in the show.

How much has the show changed or evolved since the release of the Nitro Circus 3D movie?
There are way more contraptions going down the ramp. The show is constantly changing as everyone wants to try different things.

Do you have any new tricks in the bag that we’ll see for the first time at the SA shows?
I’m always working on new stuff. I don’t like to call myself out so we’ll have to see.

What goes through you mind when you are about to roll into the Gigant-A-Ramp?
Just to stay focused and stay relaxed. I keep telling myself to relax, relax. There is so much going on in my head and if you tense up, you mess up.

Explain the feeling once you hit the ramp and land one of your big tricks?
When I land and roll out from one of my tricks it is the best feeling in the world. It is a feeling of happiness and relief at the same time. If I don’t land it is a whole lot of pain.

Yeah, as far as I know.

What is the vibe like being part of the Nitro Circus crew?
I look around and I’m with the world’s top athletes, sometimes I wonder why I’m there. We all have a mutual respect for each other. It is just…wow.

Explain the Nitro Circus crew in 5 words?
Craziest skilled people on Earth.

Any words for your SA fans before you get here next year?
I’m really looking forward to it. It’s our first time in South Africa so we’ll be putting on a good show to make sure we come back. Come out and see the show, experience the chaos.
