The final round of the 2015 Monster Energy South African Motocross Nationals took place at a hot and windy Smoking Pistons in Joburg. Riders had to deal some extreme condition as the well-prepped track deteriorated throughout the day.

James Thompson took both heat wins in the 50cc Class seeing him tie for overall points with Emmanuel Bako. Thompson had more heat wins through the season which saw him take the championship.
Although Camden Mc Lellan already wrapped up the 65cc Class championship, he continued to dominate the class by posting 2 heat wins. Mc Lellan was followed by Jono Mlimi and Ike Klaasen.
Dalton Venter has won the 85cc Junior Class but didn’t win both heats at this round. The second heat was taken by 65cc champ Camden Mc Lellan. Jono Mlimi took 3rd overall.
Slade Smith came into the final round having to win both heats in the Pro Mini Class to take the title. Points leader, Cameron Durow suffered with injury seeing Smith capitalise on the opportunity and take the heat wins and the 2015 title. Seth van den Abeele stayed consistent and finished in 2nd overall with Mathew Kruger in 3rd.

Keegan du Plooy won the Support Class with Graeme Odendaal and Jonathan Hubbard finishing in 2nd and 3rd respectively. Andre Potgieter finished in 5th but won the championship, as he was one of the few to ride the whole championship.
Toni Jardine wrapped up the Ladies Class championship and finished in 2nd on the day. An unstoppable Brittany Cuthbert won both heats for 1st place and Kayla Raaff finished off the podium in 3rd.

Ian Topliss again dominated the MX3 Class winning both heats and taking the overall ahead of Rod Bergstrom in 2nd and Geoff Den in 3rd.

The 125c High School Class was the one to watch with 3 riders able to claim the title. Joshua Mlimi had to win both heats just to stand a chance of winning the title and he did just that. Points leader Dirco van der Westhuizen had a bad day with two 4th place finishes while Charl van Eeden crashed out of heat 2. Mlimi made it happen when it counted and took the season overall.

Maddy Malan had already claimed the MX2 Class title. The chase for second was between Kerim Fitz-Gerald and Neville Bradshaw. Bradshaw missed the final round and Kerim Dominated the class with wins to secure 2nd in the championship ahead of Tristan Purdon. Malan finished 2nd overall for the day and Sacha Naude, who was riding in the MX2 Class for the first time this year, in 3rd.

Kerim Fitz-Gerald dominated the MX1 Class and secured the championship title by taking both heat wins. 2014 champion Sacha Naude had to settle for 2nd place while Michael Docherty took 3rd.
