We’re at a loss for words, but “goddess” comes to mind! Get to know Farrah Mia as our LW Babe of the Week.
Full name: Farrah Mia
Hometown: Cape Town
Day job: Property and Online Retail
Give us a quick introduction to Farrah?
I’m Farrah Mia, I’m currently living in Joburg but Cape Town is, and always will be, home. I’m a UCT BComm graduate with a love for property and all things related, and have also been modelling and acting for the last 10 years.
What impression to you feel you leave on someone meeting your for the first time?
I like to think that I always make people feel comfortable and included. I think how you make others feel says a lot about you.
Tell us something most people don’t know about you?
I’m actually an Irish citizen as well as a South African one. My mum is from Dublin, Ireland.
What does a day in your life usually consist of?
Right now it’s working remotely at cute new spots around JHB and looking after my Spaniel puppy, he’s a handful!
If you could experience one thing you’ve always dreamed of, what would it be and why?
Spending the day behind the scenes in all the marquees at a Formula 1 Grand Prix. I’m completely fascinated by the inner workings and the ruthlessness of the industry.
What goes through your mind when you are posing in front of the camera?
I’m always thinking of the final outcome and how to achieve it whilst looking as ‘natural’ as possible. No one likes a photo that looks forced.
What style of shoot do you enjoy the most?
I enjoy all of them really – but filming TV commercials is when I can perform the most. They’re also the most challenging, which in turn means they’re the most rewarding. Sometimes the most embarrassing too, but that’s the nature of it!
What makes you feel sexy?
Achieving major goals makes me more confident in my own skin and my abilities, and there’s nothing more attractive than that confidence in a person.
What drives you?
Having no one to answer to and being able to independently make my own choices and decisions. Feeling empowered is a major driver!
What are the top things on your bucket list?
Going to see Formula 1, visiting Norway, adopting a Whippet and the rest are business goals in the works. I think it’s bad luck to reveal them before you achieve them for multiple reasons. Keeping your head down is important!
What’s the first thing that comes to mind when we mention:
Late nights? Cape Town.
Life hack? YouTube.
Pet peeve? Insincerity.
