Despite the overcast and cold weather that hit Joburg on Saturday 15 September the 2012 Monster Energy Rail Rodeo rocked Stoke City WakePark (previously Base3) in Midrand. Brief discussions went on in the morning as to whether riders and spectators would attend the Rail Rodeo and if the event would even take place but as the morning drew on, the clouds lifted, the drizzle stopped, the riders hit the water and people started to arrive to get in on the action.

Greg Minnaar has had a crazy week filled with interviews, appearances, work and travelling to Norway for the last round of the UCI Downhill Mountainbike World Cup after winning the Downhill Mountainbike World Championship for the second time in his career just over a week ago. The 2012 Monster Energy Rail Rodeo is upon us and we're super excited! The Wakeboard/ Wakeskate comp will take on a jam session format with a highly anticipated obstacle and slider warfare. Obstacles that will be included in this years Rail Rodeo are: a Rooftop slider, the Burn Industries Wedge, the Liquid Force Kicker and a Flatbar slider.
