Video | 2018 Downhill MTB World Cup Losinj Podium Runs

Lošinj in Croatia played host to Round 1 of the 2018 UCI Downhill MTB World Cup. The track, set to be the shortest of the year, was a full out charge through a technical and brutal rock-littered wood before heading into an urban push for the line.

The new venue resulted in an interesting race. Speeds were high and navigating swiftly to the bottom required traversing a series of drops and gap jumps. In the end it was Aaron Gwin and Myriam Nicole who took the wins in the elite categories. SA’s Greg Minnaar looked to be on a top five contention run but a rear puncture near at the lower end of the course put an end to his hopes.

Watch the podium winning runs followed by the Elite Men’s and Women’s results…
