Van Coke Kartel, MK Awards winners for Best Group, Best Rock and Best Live Act, released their latest music video, Tot die Son uitkom, on Monday afternoon, 28 May. This music video already boasts over 6 000 views on Youtube.
Tot die Son uitkom is the third single from Van Coke Kartel’s acclaimed album, Wie’s Bang. The album was released by Supra Familias in December 2011.
Tot die Son uitkom came to life when the band’s guitar player, Jedd Kossew, created an exquisite piece of guitar work. Francois took to it immediately and wrote lyrics to the song which he describes as “a love song to my wife, Lauren van Coke.”
The music video tells the love story between two children, Corban and Scarlett. Scarlett drags Corban out of his shell and together they spend many magic moments… until a tragedy strikes that will stay with Corban forever. Keep those tissues close by.
