Big and perfect surf has been predicted for the opening day of the Billabong Pro J-Bay 2012, and is set to continue through the first three days of competition. The swell has already arrived in Jeffrey’s Bay, and the surfers in town are having great practice sessions as six-foot lines pour down the famous Supertubes point. According to renowned South African swell forecaster Spike from Wavescape, the best is yet to come.
“Tuesday is a world class day of sublime pointbreak bombs,” said Spike of the expected surf. “We can expect ten-foot lines marching in early on Tuesday in lovely light westerly offshore winds, with the swell easing to six to eight-foot in glassy seas during the day.”
