We love music festivals. We love music festivals in aid of a good cause even more. Which is why we recommend you get in your cars, take a little road trip and head out to the Rocking for Rhinos Music Festival – taking place on World Rhino Day & Heritage Day: 22nd and 23rd of September 2012. The two day event promises to be a jol as well as an eye-opening experience – fusing conservation and entertainment together to bring you a weekend of awesomeness.
The festival is being held at Franklyn Park Hoedspruit and will include overnight camping as an option for festival-goers. Crafts and numerous other stalls (food & drink included) will all be situated on the grounds too. The lineup will consist of South African musicians, artists, celebrities, conservationists, and performers. By presenting South Africa’s critical problem in a way that is easy to relate to for all generations it is believed that this festival will contribute to slowing down and stopping our heinous rhino murders. Afterall folks, iIf we do not do something today, our rhino will be extinct within SEVEN YEARS. Not cool. Best you party for a purpose!
The Limpopo Province is one of the hardest hit when it comes to Rhino poaching, hence the need for the event out here – go get a feel for the amazing nature and wildlife in the area that is being ravaged at present – get your festival passes today!

It is worth noting that every single cent made from the Rocking for Rhinos Festival will go to those fighting the battle; the anti-poaching teams in the area. It will be put into training, bullet proof vests, two way radios, and anything else that those on the ground need to stop poachers from massacring such a magnificent species.
