Red Bull Unlocked 2016

Red Bull Unlocked returned to where it all started, at Moses Mabhida Stadium, and saw the country’s top skate talent gather to compete in this prestigious event. The specifically built course which incorporated the People’s Park structures made for an exciting competition and top class skateboarding.

The 62 invited skaters were whittled down to the final five. A hotly contested final was fought between Gavin Moses Adams, Dlamini Dlamini, Braxton Haynes, Brandon Valjalo and Jermey Stone, all pushing each other to lay it out on the course.

In the end it was Dlamini Dlamini who landed some of the hottest tricks of the contest and took the overall. Last year’s winner, Gavin Moses Adams finished in 2nd and Brandon Valjalo finished off the podium in 3rd.

The Best Trick event took place on a kicker that sent that skaters over the water feature in the centre of the park – Simon Stipcich walked away with the win.
