Stop 3 of the Ramp Rodeo BMX and Skate Invitational fueled by Monster Energy took place at the Gymkhana GRiD event over the weekend. The contest saw the country’s top Skateboarding and BMX athletes go head to head in a jam style contest format.
In the Joburg heat, local skater Puddy Zwennis put down some good lines and tricks to take the 3rd place spot. Stop 2’s winner, Thalente Biyela impressed the judges but it just wasn’t enough to take the top step and had to settle for 2nd.
It was Alan Marola who proved to be ahead of the pack by taking the win in the final stop of the 2017 series.
Khule Ngubane claimed the Best Trick award.
Another stacked field that went all out! Vincent Leygonie is on a roll, finishing in the top spot at the last round of the Ramp Rodeo, and now scoring another podium in the final stop by taking 3rd place. Murray Loubser always finds himself in the podium position mix, and with good reason. He has a stack of dialed tricks and makes use of the whole park, which saw him take 2nd place overall.
Malcom Peters seemed to be unstoppable with hugely impressive runs and tricks to finish in 1st place.
Murray Loubser claimed the Best Trick award.
