Welcome back to the pages of LW Mag. What’s been going on in the life of Lindie since we last featured you in July 2017?
I have been doing quite a few Fitness competitions, since my last interview with LW. I became a ambassador for Athlete Comp tan, I’ve won my Beach Bikini devision at the IFBB East Coast Classic show and I came 2nd in my devision at IFBB KZN where I got invited to SA’s. I competed in the first Bodypower SA competition where I took home 2nd place. I’ve also done a shoot for Playboy trying out the USN Bar-One flavour and entered USN face of fitness 2017 where I got to the top 12.
Take us through a day in your life?
Mornings always start with coffee. I head to gym as soon as I’m up and then go see my client’s for the day. Depending on the day, I would either be doing Microblading (semi-permanent eyebrow tattooing) or nails. I love working for myself and I’m completely mobile so I go to different areas in Durban but mainly work in the Upper Highway areas. Once I’m done with work I’ll go shopping for dinner, once dinner and food prep for the next day is done I’m on the couch watching my favourite program (at the moment it’s My Kitchen Rules).
Tell us something most people don’t know about you?
I love listening to the Violin.
If you could be any famous celebrity for one day, who would it be and what would you get up to?
I would be Ellie Goulding, she is not only a amazing singer and beautiful, she is also a very inspiring and humble woman. I’d love to spend a day in her life, just getting to know her and what her daily routine is like.
What advice would you give to your 16 year old self?
Always stay true to yourself, you can achieve anything that you set your mind to. Learn and read as much as you can.
What smell reminds you of your childhood?
Most definitely Candy-floss.
What is one of the craziest things you have ever experienced?
I use to work on the Royal Caribbean Cruise liners and we docked in Mexico We went on a excursion to go swim with the Dolphins, they made me lay in the ocean water in a superman position (hands up and legs apart as if I was about to fly). I was super confused to why I was doing this, next moment there where two dolphins that lifted me up on the balls of my feet, I actually felt like superman flying out of the water into the air [laughs]. Oh wait, there’s something crazier I’ve experienced with my eyes – the Ping Pong show in Thailand!
Planned or Spontaneous?
It depends on what you’re referring to. If I’m going on an overseas vacation I definitely would plan excursions and day to day things to see and do to make the most of my time there. A Spontaneous dinner is always a nice surprise outing.
What are your pros and cons of being a coastal girl?
Pro: The perfect holiday is on my doorstep.
Con: Mmm, I’m thinking really hard.
Do you consider yourself a beach babe?
Yes I do. I grew up at the beach, I love being tanned, feeling the sun on my skin and sand between my toes. I absolutely love the views of the ocean and the sound of kids in the background building sandcastles.
What’s the first thing you look at when meeting a guy?
How he carries himself, there is nothing more off putting than a man that has a huge ego. There is a difference between a huge ego and confidence.
What would be the first thing you’d do if you won the lotto?
What’s the first thing that comes to mind when we mention:
Adrenaline? Bungee Jumping
Hot and sweaty? On the beach.
Fetish? Bikini’s of course!.
