What are your words to live by?
Always wear your invisible crown. Respect is earned. Honesty is appreciated. Trust is gained. Loyalty is returned.
You’re actually in England at the moment. How long are you there for and how are you enjoying the experience?
I’ve been in and around London for almost three months now and it has been absolutely amazing! It’s an exciting place to explore, where the lifestyle, climate and cuisine are all part of new experiences for me. I’ve even adapted to the freezing temperatures and numerous cups of tea per day. This country is beautiful, rich with history and always buzzing with life. I’m drawn to the fashion, culture and stunning architecture.
What other countries have you travelled to, and would still like to travel to?
I have traveled to the Netherlands, Italy and Spain. I would like to see the world, but for starters – Cambodia, Croatia, Fiji, Bora Bora, Madagascar, Australia, Greece and Brazil.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Tuscany, Italy because I have family there, the people are warm and friendly. Villas on the ocean, narrow winding streets, bicycles and vineyards. I’m in-love with the divine food, wine and romantic language. I’d be happy to go back to my roots, embrace the lifestyle, the weather and Mediterranean cuisine.
What type of girl do you consider yourself?
Divergent. I am a lover and a fighter. I love helping people and showing compassion. I am a strong, independent woman who fights for injustice and for what I believe in. I’m a friendly but forward person, people know exactly where they stand with me, and I don’t keep fake friends. I have flaws, but I know who I am and what I stand for. I have God and special people in my life and so I don’t depend on the opinions and approval of others. I’m protective over my loved ones and I definitely have a feisty side when pushed. I’m enthusiastic, creative, adventurous and wild at heart. I’m happy.
How do you feel when you are in front of the camera?
I feel relaxed and comfortable. Every shoot has a different energy level. I clear my head and once I’m in my zone, I’m excited and intrigued to see what kinds of new images the photographer and I can create.
How would you sum up your shoot with Lyle Simes?
My shoot with Lyle was one of my favourites, we had an adventurous 5am early morning beach shoot and from the get-go I felt comfortable. The shots seemed to flow easily, and time flew by. Lyle is very professional and talented, I really enjoyed working with him and will continue to do so in future.
What is one of the naughtiest things you’ve done, and did you get caught?
I remember one Friday night, in high school, it was a friend’s sweet-sixteen party but I was grounded at the time. I phoned my best friend and we came up with a plan. I snuck out of the house and jumped the wall where my friends were in the car waiting for me. So we hit the party on the beach and ended up staying so long that I just made it home before my parents woke up at 6am. I was beyond nervous sneaking back into my room but I was not caught.
What is your dream job?
To specialize in the Fashion, Marketing and Advertising industry. To be a international model (fashion and commercial) and Brand Ambassador like my cousin Tamara Francesconi. Active and outdoors, a job where I meet new people, take on new projects that will challenge and grow me. Eventually become a Personal Shopper and Stylist. Launch my own brand.
What’s your addiction?
I’m addicted to Travel, Adrenalin and Chocolate.
What’s the best thing about being a Durban girl?
Living so close to so many beautiful beaches, and the beach-babe style. I can throw on a bikini, some high waisted shorts, grab a kimono and flats and walk out the door.
What’s the worst thing about being a Durban girl?
Gossip and drama.
What 5 things attract you to a guy?
Intelligence, dominance, class, sense of humour and Compassion.
What’s the first thing that comes to mind when we mention:
Beach days? Tanning and sipping on a strawberry daiquiri.
Summer? Bikini’s and surfing.
Sexy? Liam Hemsworth.
