Give us an introduction to Caraleyn?
I am a small town girl that grew up in Newcastle, I was so blessed to be quite involved in farm life. I moved to Durban to study Aviation and in the hope to find my passion in life. I have finally found my love for the logistics Industry where I have been able to grow and expand my experience levels. I have been so privileged to have parents that allowed me to spread my wings and encourage me to fulfill my dreams as an independent woman. I want to be an example for all girls out there, you can make your dreams happen no matter who you are or where you come from, whether you make it on your own or with great support. Be confident! Be strong! Your confidence shines from within, and I’v learnt from experience that once you learn to love yourself and embrace who you are, you can be whoever you want to be.
What drives you?
Motivation to succeed.
If you could be president any country, which would it be and why?
South Africa, because I don’t believe in giving up in my own country. We can build a better future as long as we do it all as a team.
With all that power and money, how would you most likely put it to use?
The heart of any nation is education, and I feel we need to sort our heart out first for the rest of the body to function. Many children don’t have sufficient education from the basic start which is what needs to be focused on first. Money will pay for proper classes and desks for pupils.
Secondly health care, for many of those who don’t receive a proper income, it can be difficult to afford medical aid and support their families. Businesses should incorporate medical aid plans for employees and their families.
What’s the best part about being a Durban girl?
The beach and the warm weather all year around.
What do you like to do with your off time?
Go Horse riding.
What is one of the craziest things you have ever done, and would you do it again?
I rode an ostrich, and yes I would do it again.
What type of guy would fulfill your fantasy?
Someone that I could share my dreams and make new memories with.
What word would you use to describe sexy?
What are you looking forward to most this winter?
Wearing new boots.
Tell us something that most people don’t know about you?
I am very independent.
What’s the first thing that comes to mind when we mention:
Money? Monthly accounts.
Irritating? People not showing respect.
Late nights? Coffee and blankets.
Good times? Being around my group of true friends and being able to be myself with them.
Beach babes? Photoshoot and swimwear.
