Evolver One Announce New Vocalist

Good news for Evolver One fans – the guys have found their new vocalist and will resume performing later this year! Since the sudden departure of Evolver One’s vocalist Peter Pote in February this year, the band spent the past two months holding open auditions. Evolver One have completed their search and are proud to announce that Lez Dart is the new incredibly talented vocalist to join their family and add his fire to the already successful Johannesburg-based Rock Band.

It was on YouTube that East London born vocalist Lez Dart made a massive impression on Sean Murphy (Keyboards & Back-Up Vocals) and Tulsa Pittaway (Drums). “Lez proactively recorded two performances of our hit tracks “Criminal” & “Go All The Way” and also sent us many incredible demo tracks that he had written. Apart from his talented song writing ability, the obvious reason is his wide vocal range and the ability to make our original tracks his own,” says Sean Murphy.

Lez Dart is elated about his new role. “I really enjoyed the audition process. It was great getting to meet the guys, realising that they have the same passion and drive for music as I do. It is really awesome to be a part of the Evolver One family. To work with such professionals has always been a dream of mine”, says Dart.

Evolver One have continued the momentum of song writing for the upcoming album and Lez is diving right in. “I’m looking forward to writing new music with the guys for the new album that will be recorded this year. I cannot wait to perform on stage with Sean and Tulsa for the first time, I know that the band will be a great success.” adds Dart.

The band is scheduled to begin performing again in August 2012.
